Jacob Lete

Resident Epee Coach

Jacob Lete began fencing in 2003 and competed extensively at the national level, earning his A rating in épée — the highest competitive classification in the United States. Throughout his competitive career, he pursued advanced development through elite camps with Michael Marx, experiences that shaped his technical foundation and approach to the sport.

After transitioning from competition, Jacob pursued a career in education, teaching special education. His passion for both fencing and teaching led him to help found Greensboro Fencing Academy in North Carolina, where he served as Head Coach for five years. There, he coached athletes from beginners to nationally competitive fencers, including a parafencing national champion — demonstrating his ability to adapt his coaching to each athlete.

Now a full-time coach at Marx Fencing Academy, Jacob continues his professional development under the mentorship of Michael Marx. He remains committed to his core belief: every athlete can achieve success by building on their unique strengths.
